Venturefest West Midlands 2021 was held virtually on Thursday, 28 January.
Supported locally by businesses, universities, science parks and business support organisations, Venturefest provides entrepreneurs, investors and innovators a place to meet, engage and exchange ideas for co-operation and collaboration, particularly in the fields of science and emerging technologies.
Chair: David Hardman, MD of Brentwood SciTech, Birmingham
This event, like so many others in the last year, has been translated into a virtual one, but this did not change the Steering Group’s objective of promoting connectivity and contact to drive the delivery of new innovative products and services to the marketplace in and from the West Midlands. We were delighted to welcome roughly 300 delegates for this free one day conference delivered via Whova.
Running alongside Venturefest West Midlands for another year was Minerva Pitch Up, a pitching competition for business owners, giving a unique opportunity for businesses to raise their profile both in the West Midlands and in front of a national audience of investors. Business owners were invited to present their ideas in a pitch for investment and stand a chance of winning one of several awards. This years’ deserving winner was Figura Analytics.
