Traditionally our economy has worked in a linear way, where products and materials are made, used, and then thrown away.β€―

A circular economy is one that designs out waste and pollution by reusing and repurposing products and materials that would normally be discarded. This divertsβ€―waste from landfill, protects our limited natural resources and reduces carbon emissions.β€―Β 

In the West Midlands, businesses across a variety of sectors are already adapting their practices to capitalise on the opportunities that create new economic growth, jobs and reduce their environmental impact.Β Β Β 

In addition to this, the West Midlands Combined Authority is working with experts from business and academia to deliver a plan for advancing a Circular Economy in our region.β€―β€―
