An opportunity has arisen for an officer to join Sandwell Council’s Climate Change Programme team and support the key corporate objectives of helping the council to become carbon neutral by 2030 and the borough to become carbon neutral by 2041. Based in Oldbury, you will play a crucial role in helping to embed climate change activity into the council’s operations, as well as shaping and delivering our work to achieve carbon neutrality for the borough.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate a strong background in climate change issues and experience of project working, liaising with partner organisations and providing business administration support to working groups.
You must have:
- A degree in a climate change/sustainability related subject.
- Ideally a post-graduate qualification in climate change or a sustainability related subject.
