WMG SME Group are looking for an Engineer.
Full Time, Fixed Term Contract Until 31 March 2023.

The WMG SME Group are seeking to appoint an Engineer to join their multidisciplinary team to assist in the delivery of our Digital Innovation for Manufacturing (DI4M) project. This project helps manufacturing SME’s become more productive and competitive. The group aims to accelerate SME economic growth through research-led innovation. We build strong sustainable and collaborative relationships with SME businesses and partner organisations.
They are searching for a hands-on Engineer looking to work with manufacturing organisations, helping them to implement new thinking within their business. This is an ideal role for early-career engineers looking to expand their experience and presents a great opportunity for future personal development.
They are looking for someone with a background in one or more of the following areas of Business Transformation:
- Lean Manufacturing
- Waste and Variation Reduction
- Productivity Improvement
The ideal candidate should be able to:
- Communicate expertise, knowledge, and experience to a range of stakeholders from Business Owners to Technicians
- Apply knowledge to the practical development of physical products, manufacturing processes or business practices
- Make use of specialist equipment and software systems to support project delivery
- Work on multiple concurrent projects with short timescales (typically 2-5 days)
Candidates should be degree qualified in a relevant subject with demonstrable engineering skills and experience of technology within a given area.
