WMG are looking for an Engineering Technician (SME Group).
Full Time, Fixed Term Contract until 30/11/2022 with the possibility of extension subject to funding.
WMG is a vibrant, cutting-edge research institution at the University of Warwick, providing research, education and knowledge transfer in engineering, manufacturing and technology. We need an engineering technician with substantial experience of working with materials processing and characterisation equipment, electronics and ALM equipment, maintaining housekeeping and H&S standards, to join our team. To provide technical support and engage with the staff of all levels including external partners and organisations as required.
Excellent communication skills and a high level of health and safety awareness will be essential for the role to liaise with academics, interns and other staff to set up, run and maintain specialist equipment and provide advice on the feasibility of practical experimental design and manufacture.
You will need to have successfully completed an engineering apprenticeship or HNC/ONC in Engineering or hold a similar qualification, along with relevant experience in a related engineering discipline/environment.
