Job Opportunities: Climate Change Programme Officer and Climate & Natural Environment Officer – Sandwell Council

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an officer to join the Climate Change Programme team and support our key objectives of the council becoming carbon net zero by 2030 and the borough to become carbon net zero by 2041.

You will play a vital role in how the council responds to the challenges of tackling climate change, including both mitigation and adaptation.

Applicants are expected to have a strong background in climate change issues and experience of project working and liaising with partner organisations.

Essential Criteria:

  • A degree in climate change or sustainability related subject;
  • Project Management;
  • Strong communication skills.

Desirable criteria:

  • A post-graduate qualification relating to climate change.
