Create Central has innovation at the centre of its growth plan, helping to put in place the building blocks to create the most future-facing creative cluster in the UK. To support this goal, 3 objectives have been identified which will provide a focus for our activities during implementation.
1) Increase the number of innovative Creative companies
2) Improve the capacity of the Creative sector to support innovation
3) Improve the overall environment for Innovation
Our Innovation lead Tim Luft is currently supporting the delivery of key innovation projects such as;
a) Studio UK that will enable a ‘digital technology first approach for recovery of the UK’s media production’
b) An immersive storytelling prototype programme using Virtual Reality as a way to tackle Mental Health and well being (combining Story Futures, Cov21 and Create Central)
c) Establishing Birmingham as the home of UK e-Sports
