*POSTPONED* Innovative Manufacturing Working Group: Attracting and Developing the Manufacturing Workforce for the Future – Pending New Date

21 June 2022

Join us for this in-person event to bring manufacturers, support organisations and others together to look at how we can promote and support manufacturing across the region. Our theme for this event is attracting a more diverse workforce and different approaches to development.

We will hear more about the opportunities available in the region for skills development as well as learning from those that have already taken actions to improve inclusivity in their organisations.

  • Our first speaker will be Georgina Barnard from Black Country & Marches Institute of Technology, our host for the day, sharing their ambitions and capabilities for supporting skills development through their apprenticeships and training.
  • The second speaker will be Mark Matchett, a Knowledge Transfer Advisor who will focus on the benefits that Knowledge Transfer Partnerships have brought to manufacturers across the region.

There will be an opportunity before the session to network and afterwards to have a tour of the facilities at the Black Country & Marches Institute of Technology.

Updates on further speakers and the agenda to follow.
