Cyber Working Group

WHAT WE DO

The Cyber Working Group (CWG) unites cybersecurity experts, business leaders, and academics from across the West Midlands to promote collaboration and enhance cyber resilience. The CWG serves as a forum for sharing insights on emerging cyber threats, risk management, and cutting-edge security solutions.

Supported by regional partners such as: Midlands Cyber, Cyber Resilience Centre for the West Midlands (WM CRC), Regional Organised Crime Unit for the West Midlands Region (ROCUWM), and local universities, the CWG is aligned with the goals of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) to strengthen the region’s cybersecurity ecosystem.

All members are volunteers, driven by the shared goal of making the West Midlands a leader in cybersecurity.

Chaired and co-ordinated by: Wayne Horkan, Cyber Tzar.

Vice-chair and Secretary, Sevgi Aksoy
