As a catalyst for greater capacity, efficiency and value on the UK network, the Digital Railway initiative forms the central philosophy for the evolution of our rail industry as a world leading capability. But what does that mean for its supply chain?

The Rail Alliance and DIGI-RAIL in partnership with the Science & Technology Facilities Council (STFC)will present a series of three interactive workshops exploring the vision, benefits and opportunities available from this concept as a fundamental agent of rail sector change.

The aim of three interactive morning sessions is to:

  1. Capture opinion and in so doing understand the challenges faced by the supply chain at all levels
  2. Illustrate how data can be used to generate appropriate solutions for all stakeholders
  3. Refine these concepts as bespoke solutions to help you to exploit the digital business opportunity.

These sessions will use Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques combined with change management practice proven in the economic transitions of other transport sectors. We aim to identify and confront rail industry challenges from the top down and explore new value processes for our sector that can be adopted at all levels. But we need your experience and your voice.

Aimed primarily at technical business leads, manufacturing and production professionals, designers and product managers experienced in the rail industry, the first of these sessions will be held in Birmingham on the 11th December, 2019.
