Birmingham Tech week is not far away, and there are so many exciting events on the agenda! To help you out, we’ve hand-picked some of the events we are most looking forward to –  but you can find a full list of the events here.

Monday 7th October

Breaking into health tech

Are you in Health Tech or would like to be? – This Healthcare Technologies Institute event is about breaking barriers to access the healthcare market through innovation, technical advancements and right people right place. The event will offer opportunities to collaborate with experts, develop business and get up to £3,000 of direct free support through a “Dragons Den style” event.

How do we fill the skills gap in the fast moving Technology Industry?

In this event the discussion will be about how we should aim to build a platform to work together to inspire and encourage the next generation of tech talent.

Our roles as leaders, market professionals and innovators within the tech space is incredibly important, but we all have ideas and opinions and we should discuss these in order to fill this talent gap.

Technology & Digital Marketing Workshop For SMEs – Birmingham’s First ‘Inclusive’ Event For Disabled & Non-Disabled Guests

This event will be Birmingham’s first ‘inclusive’ Digital Marketing event for local SMEs aimed at both disabled & non-disabled people. It will have latest tech and sign language interpreters, hearing loops, concierge service for wheelchair users, reserved front row seating and much more.

The event will be workshop style helping SMEs think more strategically about Digital Marketing & how Social Media, SEO, Google Ads, Email Marketing & more can be used strategically to create a ‘Customer Funnel’. It will also address how the they can cost-effectively use latest marketing tech, for example, automation to generate incremental sales.

AdvoFest is an interactive and insightful conference, focusing on how to create, empower and enable brand advocates. The event takes place on the 8th October in Birmingham and best of all it’s FREE to attend!

This Is Our Brum: Tech for Good

Come join Birmingham Tech Week for “This Is Our Brum”, a community-oriented conversation about Identity, Connection, and Innovation across Birmingham’s three sectors. We will meet on Wednesday, October 9 from 10 AM – 4 PM in The Platform Space at Millennium Point. Together, we will discuss how Birmingham can leverage Commonwealth Games, HS2, and the burgeoning Tech Boom to generate inclusive and socially responsible growth.
