This seminar will give an overview of the big challenges facing innovation policy: measuring and boosting the adoption and diffusion of innovations.
Tyler Rickard will outline how innovation policies are adopted and used to commercialise innovations and build networks.
Dr Helen Turner will draw on the experiences of a collaborative university partnership, Midlands Innovation. Through a series of case studies it will highlight the local and regional role that university partnerships can both strengthen the innovation ecosystem and support the creation of collaborative projects which bring increased investment into the region. The vital contributions of research enablers, sometimes referred to as PRISMs, in delivering these types of complex research collaborations will also be highlighted.
