Join us online on the 26th March for a roundtable event by the West Midlands Health Technologies Cluster (WMHTC), with The University of Birmingham and The University of Warwick.
This roundtable event will present the opportunity to learn further about the work of the above organisations in particular around its health focused diagnostics solutions in the West Midlands.
The Department of Clinical Immunology at The University of Birmingham provides a comprehensive range of tests for the immunological investigation of patients together with a highest quality of service with prompt delivery of accurate results, (backed up by specialist medical and scientific expertise).
A number of novel rapid diagnostic tools for coronavirus are being developed at the University of Warwick. These include using the sugars on the surface of the virus as a way of specifically detecting the virus as well as sensitive imaging-based diagnostic assays combined with machine learning algorithms that can be adapted to detect viruses in different biological samples. Complementing these developments are studies examining biomarkers in the blood of COVID-19 patients that could be used to predict disease outcome and guide treatment options.
During this session you’ll learn:
- More about these partnership and benefits delivered so far.
- About recent development from the West Midlands Health Technologies Cluster.
