This event is aimed at all manufacturing companies with sites in the West Midlands, and is an opportunity to share your company’s experience of the impact of the energy cost crisis on your business; to provide direct feedback to government; and to propose mitigating actions.
It is one of a series of evidence gathering events organised by the West Midlands Industrial Energy Taskforce. The Taskforce was established by the Mayor and Energy Minister last year specifically to focus on the challenges for energy-exposed manufacturing businesses, and to recommend solutions that can be implemented regionally.
You should come prepared to share specific examples of how the energy crisis has affected your business. All participants will be sent a pre-event (anonymous) survey to facilitate efficient discussion on the day.
The evidence gathered at the events will be collated and fed back to the Department of Business Energy and Industrial Strategy for an immediate response. Everyone who participates in the evidence gathering events will be invited to webinars with BEIS officials to hear these responses during March.
