9:05 – 9:55 Primary Careers 2030 Event: Construction
A special guest from Making Learning Work joins us for a session which will explore changes in the construction sector and how we have seen it develop over the last ten years. What careers will exist in 10 years’ time? This is an opportunity for pupils to take part in interactive tasks such as matching skills to job descriptions of careers in construction.

Construction is an amazing sector – look around you, from the ground-upwards you can see the legacy of our architects, local builders, and highways that make our world what it is today. With special guests from Highways England, Garfield Davis Architectural, BAM Construction Ltd [Midlands] and Lovell Homes.

There are over 700 opportunities in construction to choose from, enabling the industry to have something to offer everyone; civil engineering, building services, trades, technicians and professional occupations. This session will give you guidance explaining where to go and who to talk to if you feel this is the career for you. With a special guest from Walsall College.
