Transport for West Midlands invite attendees from local authorities to join transport providers, industry partners and experts in the field in a dialogue on the future of mobility.
The event will include guest speakers Graham Hanson from the Department for Transport, Chris Perry from MaaS Global, the world leader in Mobility as a Service operations, alongside a speaker from TravelSpirit, a not-for-profit organisation which connects people working in transportation to enable them to work together towards more sustainable mobility in cities. Conference delegates are also invited to showcase their own innovative transport projects.
Local authorities in small and medium cities are faced with challenges of congestion and pollution, while also being presented with opportunities to take advantage of innovative developments in technology. Transport and local authorities in small and medium cities can benefit from building up capacities within their cities to grow, fund and implement innovative strategies for sustainable mobility.
The morning session will focus on real case studies of European cities building their capacity for innovation in sustainability. After a complimentary lunch, delegates will be invited to an interactive workshop exploring the opportunities and challenges in realising Mobility as a Service in cities. The event will conclude with a panel discussion to capture the key lessons and questions posed earlier in the day.
