As part of government’s ‘Domestic COP26’ campaign, West Midlands Combined Authority will be hosting the COP26 Regional Roadshow at Springfield Campus, University of Wolverhampton.
From being known as the crucible of the first industrial revolution in the 18th century, to our plans for becoming a net zero region by 2041, the West Midlands is proud to be the Home of the Green Industrial Revolution.
Our low carbon industries are thriving and we need to capitalise on this growth to lead a new, green industrial revolution. The ‘Green Industrial Revolution’ will protect our natural resources as well as generating tens of thousands of new jobs and creating a just and fair transition, where no one’s left behind.
It’s clear that we will only achieve radical climate change action by working together and taking a whole system approach, looking at how all of the components of place can deliver a net zero future. This event provides an ideal opportunity to spark new collaborations and solutions across transport, energy and the environment around us. You will hear from, and engage with, civic leaders, industry innovators, and cutting edge research institutions; sharing ideas, best practice and how we can all tackle climate challenges.
This is a hybrid event, in person and virtual tickets are available on booking.
We look forward to seeing you there!
