What’s it all about?
Are you interested in designing a more inclusive economy, finding and developing people with highly sought after skills or addressing the West Midlands high unemployment rate?
Birmingham City University, the Department for Pensions and Work (DWP) and Microsoft are hosting DataJam West Midlands, a highly practical 48-hrs ideas and data hack. The soon to be published programme will include:
- Inspiring key notes
- 48-hr Hackathon where small working groups will tackle different use cases and produce prototypes. Outputs we’re looking for: data visualisations, apps and algorithms, answers to organisational or policy questions through using data e.g. myth busting, business canvas for service innovation ideas, policy recommendations, good practice case studies to share
- Practical learning track of short workshops and learning sessions
