But that’s not all. We offer a flexible, efficient service that saves our customers time and money on their projects. We’re even accredited by the Institute of Customer Service for our commitment to deliver the best possible customer experience.
We are the only UK manufacturer offering all elements of a roofing system including:
• Clay and concrete tiles
• Solar panels
• Shingles and shakes
• Roofing accessories
• BS 5534 compliant JB Red Batten
With net zero ambitions set across the UK, and the Future Homes Standard calling for all new homes built from 2025 to deliver a 75-80% reduction in carbon emissions, integrated photovoltaics (PV) systems are seen as part of the solution. To help support this drive forward, we’ve just enhanced our Marley SolarTile® range. Our new panel supports specifiers as they look to provide sustainable, product-led design solutions for the homes of the future, as well as retrofit projects that enhance the energy efficiency of older properties.
Marley SolarTile® is an integrated photovoltaics (PV) system that offers sleek aesthetics, design flexibility, industry leading weather and fire performance, energy cost savings, all covered by the Marley 15-year roof system warranty. It integrates perfectly with our full roof system and all tile types, meaning no compromise on specification, and allows you to benefit from the reassurance of Marley’s 15-year guarantee. The range provides exceptional weather performance with an industry-leading wind loading and wind resistance four times higher than any competitor product and is the only roof integrated PV system accredited with the highest resistance to spread of flame and fire penetration, giving you extra security. What’s even better, our new panel provides increased efficiency and performance, meaning greater power output to support the drive to new zero.
For every solar panel sold, Marley supports the planting of a tree through charitable organisations across the world. This collaborative approach supports the long-term rehabilitation of natural ecosystems by teaming up with organisations with local expertise. Brick Development Association
The Brick Development Association represents the UK’s clay brick and paver manufacturers. We do this by providing services and information to those who specify the product, such as architects, developers, engineers, self-builders and contractors, and to those who make it possible, such as town planners, conservationists, local and national government. This is in addition to offering a friendly, accessible point of reference to the public.
Birmingham City University Ecrofit Project
Welcome to Ecrofit
Improving Building Energy Performance and Holistic Retrofit
Ecrofit is an initiative to provide technical assistance and training for businesses providing construction, installation and building services linked to energy efficiency; and in particular addressing the needs of energy assessors working in new build and retrofit.
This work is being delivered by Birmingham City University together with ABBE – the Awarding Body for the Built Environment and runs until June 2023
BCU are developing a new software (iRet Solution) to assist property energy professionals and retrofit professionals. The iRet solution offers an easy to use, highly visual interface to create fast and accurate energy assessments. It applies multi-objective optimisation techniques to compare multiple options for holistic retrofit measures and can compare and contrast variations of product specifications.
