WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

‘Fast Track 4 Future Fuels’ is the first in the series of Clean Futures Catalyst best practice workshops, delivered as part of the ‘Future Fuels’ challenge theme.

Alternative renewable energy sources continue to be investigated and implemented to fuel our journey toward decarbonisation of the transport sector. Electric battery-powered cars are currently in pole position in the automotive race, whilst electrification, battery, biofuel, and hydrogen are all viable fossil fuel alternatives with the capacity to aid the UK’s transition to cleaner greener fuels of the future.

Fast Track 4 Future Fuels is an informative and interactive workshop that will facilitate a deep dive into the challenges and opportunities associated with the development and deployment of future fuels into the UK multi-modal transport sector.

The workshop is delivered by the Black Country Innovative Manufacturing Organisation (BCIMO), together with the Innovation Alliance for the West Midlands and the Birmingham Centre for Railway Research & Education (BCRRE).

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This workshop will appeal to design engineers, innovators and anyone operating downstream in the fuel industry dedicated to the research, development, and manufacture of products and systems which contribute to the reduction of harmful carbon emissions and particulates across all modes of transport.

For attendees with an broader interest in how we successfully transition away from fossil fuels toward alternative and renewable energy sources, the workshop will be preceded by a Catalyst networking event, entitled ‘Power & Energy’. For information on this click here.
